Privacy policy

Effective Nov 9, 2026

You can browse every post and video on StackSide without signing in. We only handle personal information when you sign up for the weekly email.

What we collect

  • From Google sign-in: your email address, name, profile photo URL and Google account ID
  • Created while you use the site: whether you are subscribed, when you signed up, your last sign-in time, and when you subscribed or unsubscribed
  • Created automatically on every visit: IP address, browser details and request time, recorded by our hosting provider

If you do not subscribe, we do not collect your email address or name.

How we use it

  • To send the weekly email with newly added topics and cases
  • To keep track of your subscription and keep you signed in
  • To prevent abuse and keep the site running (access logs)

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We disclose it only when the law requires it.

Service providers and international transfer

StackSide is run from South Korea. Your information may be processed in South Korea and the United States by these providers:

  • Google LLC (US): Google sign-in
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (US): website hosting and delivery, including access logs
  • FLEXAPI backend (flexapi.history-who.com): stores account details and subscription records. Run by the site operator.

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, US) for visit statistics. It uses cookies to collect usage data that does not identify you, such as pages viewed and device type.

Cookies and browser storage

Your sign-in token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it. You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings. Browsing still works if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details and subscription records until you ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops the email right away. If the site shuts down, we delete everything without delay.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe at any time with the Unsubscribe button in the sign-up box. To see, correct or delete your information, email us at the address below. We respond within 10 days.

Children

The newsletter is not for children under 14. If we learn we have information from a child under 14, we delete it.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Subscription records hold only whether you are subscribed, not your email or name, and you can only read your own records with your sign-in token.
