About StackSide
What StackSide does
StackSide groups engineering blog posts and videos from companies in Korea, the US and Japan by topic. It compares each company's choices in one table.
What is published
- Title
- Source (company)
- Link to the original
- Publication date
- Summaries and comparison fields written by StackSide
Original text is never copied. Summaries describe what a post is about. They do not condense it.
How comparisons are built
- Technologies: the stack named in the post.
- Approach: adopted, migrated, removed or only mentioned, as the post states.
- Scale: traffic or data volume the post states. 'Not stated' if absent.
- Summary: one or two sentences on what the post covers.
How the data is made
- We keep a list of company engineering blogs and their RSS feeds, with the date each entry was last checked.
- We collect the title, original link and publication date of new posts and videos.
- Topics, problem types, approach labels, technology lists, scale notes and summaries are produced with automated processing, then edited.
- Every entry links to the original with its date, so anyone can check it against the source.
Because of the automated step, a summary or label can differ from the original. When it does, the original is correct. See the Disclaimer for details. New posts and videos are added regularly through the collection pipeline.
